Hoërskool Hartbeespoort High School Hoërskool Hartbeespoort is ’n multikulturele en dubbelmedium openbare skool. Graad 8 en 9 klasse is parallel in Afrikaans of Engels. Graad 10-12 klasse is gekombineer – Afrikaans en Engels op ‘n 50/50 basis met betrekking tot die taal van leer en onderrig. Tans het die skool 915 leerders waarvan 70% Afrikaanssprekend is en 30% Engelssprekend. Hoërskool Hartbeespoort High School is a is a dual medium school with Gr. 8 and 9 classes parallel in Afrikaans or English. Gr. 10-12 classes are combined – Afrikaans and English on a 50/50 basis regarding the language of learning and teaching. Learning material and exam papers are provided according to learners’ choice of language (Afr/Eng). Since 1 April 1992 “ Hoërskool Hartbeespoort ” has been a Model-C school which meant a Government supported semi-private school. In 1994 the school made a huge decision to become a double medium school, teaching in both Afrikaans and English. At the beginning of the new school year in 1995 the school enrolled their first English students. Since 1995 the school has become very diverse having learners of different nationalities and cultures participating in all school activities, from academics to sport and culture events. With the wide variety of different culture groups in our school, we believe that our learners have an advantage over learners coming from a non-double medium school. We have double medium in our junior phase, gr8 – 9 and then parallel medium in our senior phase, gr 10 – 12. At Hartbeespoort High School we are passionate about our learners and we strive to equip them optimally for the future.
