Named in recognition of King Shaka, iLembe District Municipality is situated on the east coast of KZN. The region is situated about 65km north of Durban and is endowed with wealth of rich historical and cultural history. iLembe is one of 11 District Municipalities of the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. It was formerly named the King Shaka District Municipality.
