Joshua Generation Church (JoshGen) Joshua Generation Church ( JoshGen ) is a vibrant and diverse multisite church that meets at numerous locations across South Africa . We seek to build according to the word of God and become a blueprint for churches globally. Our vision is to live out authentic Christianity as a family of believers who passionately desire to fearlessly lay down our lives for God and one another. Our hope is that the church will become all that Christ has called her to be, in Cape Town , South Africa and across the nations of the world. Joshua Generation Church began in January 1999, when Andrew and Emma Selley were sent from The Storehouse Church in Port Elizabeth to start a church in Table View, Cape Town. Beginning with just four people in a lounge, we quickly grew as God added to our number. In time, we planted other congregations, while God also added whole churches to us. We now partner with many churches around the globe as part of an apostolic movement known as Four12 . The early church in the book of Acts didn’t only come together at the temple, they also met daily in each other’s homes. At Joshua Generation Church , we value time spent together in our homes, whether in prayer and worship, around the Bible, or sharing food and enjoying friendship. Each congregation has a number of community groups which meet up in homes. Our hope is that the church will become all that Christ has called her to be across the nations of the world!
