Simo’s Coffee Roastery - Karoo Square Simo’s Coffee Roastery is a gourmet coffee roastery situated at Karoo Square in Lynnwood Road in the eastern side of Pretoria where customers can sit, relax and enjoy a good cup of coffee. Our speciality is the roasting of coffee beans and we roast on demand to ensure fresh and excellent quality coffee. Simo’s has been in operation since 2013 and we strive to provide excellent service to our customers and our goal is to build long lasting relationships with our clients. All of our coffee beans are 100% Arabica beans and we use different varieties of Arabica beans such as Bourbon, Catuai, Mundo Novo, Tipica, Caturra and Heirloom. Our beans are sourced from eight different countries and we have a full body decaffeinated coffee from Colombia. We currently roast with a 15kg Has Garanti manual roaster. We prefer this method since we are fully invested in the fine art of coffee roasting. We strive to grow and expand with the coffee industry. We love to learn from our competition and experts in the field of roasting. Our story starts around year seven. When talking about us/we/our I'm referring to the proud owners ( Christel Loftus & André Niemann ). Our careers started in the field of electronic engineering. Luckily all engineers love coffee! We worked together as colleagues for around 3 years and always had a love for speciality coffee. Sharing beans and cupping profiles, reading about coffee origins and enjoying at least a cup of good coffee. The opportunity arose to take charge of Simo’s and we could not resist. We love our job and our goal is to learn as much as we can. We strive to build lasting relationships and enjoy sharing a cup of coffee with our customers.
