The Portuguese Forum of South Africa is committed to serving the community through increasingly active government relations efforts, the promotion of a greater awareness of ethnic accomplishments and encouraging stronger ties between the Republic of Portugal and the Republic of South Africa. As such we strive to advance the community professionally, politically and culturally, while ensuring that issues directly affecting our community are addressed through our network of government and community leaders. The Portuguese Forum of South Africa is a national non-profit organisation dedicated to advocating for and empowering the Portuguese-South African community. Collaborating with national, provincial, municipal, and local authorities, the Forum addresses the evolving needs of this community. Mission Statement: Established in 2001, the Portuguese Forum was created to provide a unified national voice for Portuguese-South Africans and Luso-South Africans. As a non-partisan, non-profit, and tax-exempt organisation, our mission centers on addressing both domestic and international concerns pertinent to the Portuguese-South African community. We strive to foster an expanding range of initiatives, including applied research, policy analysis, and advocacy, to ensure that the Portuguese-South African perspective is reflected in critical policy discussions. By engaging in public affairs, we focus on salient issues that affect our community and the broader relationship between Portugal and South Africa. The Portuguese Forum is dedicated to serving the community through proactive government relations, raising awareness of our community's achievements, and fostering stronger ties between Portugal and South Africa.
