What is UECASA? The United Ethiopian Community Association in South Africa ( UECASA ) is a non-profit voluntary membership association for the Ethiopians living and working in South Africa. UECASA is registered as a non-profit entity in terms of section 14 of the Companies Act, of South Africa, which is registerd by the registration number 2019/261340/08. UECASA is dedicated to the virtuous activities of improving livelihood, social, and economic development of Ethiopia and South Africa. Its main goal is to protect and defend the rights and interests of all United Ethiopian Community Association members living in the Republic of South Africa and aware them on their responsibilities too. The association will ensure the rights and wellbeing of the members of the association through exchange ideas, best practices and debate issues with intergovernmental agencies and organizations, and strive to be a catalyst for the establishment of better economic, social and cultural cooperation between South Africa and Ethiopia. UECASA will engage in economic, social and cultural projects and/ or activities that are of mutual benefit to both countries. The purpose of UECASA is to unite and strengthen the members and supporters of the association by playing an advocacy role to protect and defend the rights and interests of all Ethiopian Diaspora in the Republic of South Africa athrough creating integration/collaboration with the host community. The primary members of the association are all Ethiopians living and working in South Africa.
