Accompany our guide in our open safari vehicle to the Addo Elephant National Park for the best elephant viewing in the world, visit one of the nearby ‘Big 5’ private game reserves for the best in lion sightings, interact with cheetahs and lion cubs or simply go for a walk. Afterwards, indulge in a refreshing swim or sundowners on the veranda as day gives way to the silence of a vast African night. Important: please follow our directions and not the shortest or fastest route on the SATNav or Google Maps: From the Garden Route or Port Elizabeth Airport: Follow the N2 north and turn left on to the R335, follow the road and turn left on to the R336 towards Kirkwood, follow the R336 for approximately 9km then turn left at the “Hitgeheim” sign. Drive up the hill until you see the “Hitgeheim” sign on your left hand side. From Steytlerville or Graaff Reinet via the R75: Follow the R75 and turn left on the R336. Follow the R336 for approximately 21km past Kirkwood in the direction of Addo. Turn right at the “Hitgeheim” sign and drive up the hill until you see the “Hitgeheim” sign on your left hand side. From the North on the N10: Follow the N10 towards Paterson, turn right on to the R342 (which becomes the R335 later on) and follow the road past the Addo Elephant National Park main gate. Turn right on to the R336 towards Kirkwood, follow the R336 for approximately 9km then turn left at the “Hitgeheim” sign. Drive up the hill until you see the “Hitgeheim” sign on your left hand side.
