Situated in the beautiful Oribi Gorge near Port Shepstone, Lake Eland is the perfect venue for a family holiday, romantic getaway or simply a day`s outing. With a variety of facilities and activities. DIRECTIONS: Lake Eland Game Reserve is a 35 minute drive inland from Port Shepstone. From the N2 Oribi Plaza off-ramp follow the N2 inland and travel towards Kokstad/Harding on the N2. After 11km (at the top of a long climb) look out for a sign on the left indicating “ORIBI FLATS EAST”; “Southern Explorer T3” as well as “Lake Eland”. Here you turn right onto the D219 road. Travel with the D219 for 26km, passing the NPC cement factory and Igwala Quarry, and other establishments such as Leopards Rock. Do not turn off anywhere. The last 4km (from the Mac Valley Farm Stall) are on gravel/ dirt road – to the Lake Eland Game Reserve Entrance. FOLLOW the “Eland” on the side of the road.
