SATSA is an acronym for the Southern Africa Tourism Services Association and is a non-profit, membership-based organisation, established in 1969, that represents the private tourism sector in Southern Africa. Known as the " Voice of Inbound Tourism ", SATSA offers trusted quality assurance, fosters industry collaboration, advocates for industry best practices, representing the region’s tourism, including: * Accommodation establishments * Airlines * Attractions * Coach operators * Conference organisers * Marketing organisations * Tour operators * Vehicle hire companies At SATSA, we strive to maintain our three key qualities in all the work we do: Credibility, Value and Authority and we represent over 1,100 inbound tourism products. SATSA provides agents and buyers with reliable advice, recourse, and access to credible tourism providers across the region. Members benefit from a range of services, including a stamp of credibility, industry lobbying, information sharing, educational opportunities, marketing support, networking, and member discounts. To become a SATSA member, a business must prove annually that they adhere to the highest standards of professionalism and service. SATSA has also established the SATSA Bonding Scheme (a consumer protection scheme to provide guarantees against deposits held with SATSA member), guaranteeing its quality assurance role for years to come.
